The Need…

Certain areas of South Asia have little ability to protect themselves from rapid-spreading viruses by “social distancing.” The population density gives no chance for that! Doctors assume that people will contract the virus and advise them NOT to get tested until they have weathered at least 5 days of the illness. If they are not better by that time, then come to a clinic or hospital. There are simply not enough tests available in the nations for the numbers of people.

When factories shut down, daily wage earners not only lose income, they often lose their home. Then with no money, no home, no job, and no end in sight, many lose hope for living. Sadly, despair is having many victories. 

One Solution… Food Distribution = HOPE

In two South Asian nations, our field partners are distributing food to needy families.
This is an URGENT FUNDING REQUEST. 

Nation 1 – Feed a family for a week – $12
We currently know of 1,835 families that need food.
The food packet includes:

• 10 kg rice
• 5 kg potatoes
• 1 L cooking oil
• 1 kg salt
• Medicine – paracetamol

Nation 2 – Feed a family for 4 days – $7
Our training center, located in a central area, has already helped hundreds of families seeking food.
The food packet includes:

• 5 kg rice
• 5 kg flour
• 3 kg potatoes
• 1 L cooking oil
• 1/2 kg salt
• Masala (spices) 

Nation 3 – Feed a family for 14 days – $22
Distributions at many local brick kilns have blessed numerous hungry families.
The food packet includes:

• 5 kg rice
• 20 kg flour
• 4 kg lentils
• 1 L cooking oil
• 1 kg salt
• Masala (spices) 
• Tea, soap, etc.
